How can I learn more about Continuing Education credit(s)?

What is the Society doing in response to funding cuts and travel freezes that may limit conference travel?

    • The Society provides financial support to faculty and attendees through scholarships and travel subsidies to enable members and others who share our vision for just and equitable abortion informed by science to gather annually. We encourage attendees who are faced with institutional travel or budget-related bans to lobby for an exception and will support attendees who do so.

Is there an option to attend the Annual Meeting virtually?

    What is the conference location?

    • For security reasons, conference venue information is not public. This information will be released to registered attendees cleared by our security vetting procedures. It may take approximately ten business days after registering to receive confirmation. We encourage you to register early to ensure you have this information to book.

    What are the room rates?

    • The Society has a discounted room block for $219 per night. When registration opens in July, we strongly encourage you to register as soon as possible to clear security vetting in time to book your room before they sell out. As a reminder, existing Society members are vetted and always have access to the venue and accommodations page.

How are sessions and abstracts chosen for the Annual Meeting?

    • All sessions and abstracts are reviewed and selected through a rigorous process conducted by peer reviewers, the Annual Meeting Committee, and the Board of Directors. The peer reviewers and the Annual Meeting Committee are selected through an open call recruitment period once a year. Learn more about our call for session proposal process.

What security measures do you have in place for attendees?

    • The safety of meeting participants is of the utmost importance to us. To help ensure your safety all conference attendees, exhibitors, sponsors, and volunteers will receive a thorough security vetting check and security procedures will be in place on-site.
    • Security at the Annual Meeting may feel a little different than other conferences. All attendees are asked to keep the meeting location confidential, wear their badge throughout the meeting spaces and remove it as they exit, and follow session-specific social media guidelines.

    What is the dress code?

    • We recommend business casual or whatever you will be comfortable networking with friends and colleagues or meeting new ones.

Will food and drinks be provided?

    • Yes. We will have snacks for those attending Friday pre-conference workshops. Breakfast will be available in the Exhibit Hall each day, as well as an afternoon coffee break. Appetizers and a drink ticket will be provided for the Friday and Saturday receptions.
