Announcing the 2020 SFP and The OpEd Project “Write to Change the World” workshop

There is a well-documented gap between research and policy and practice. In response, SFP seeks to build the capacity of the family planning field to translate evidence into a bold case for public support of evidence-based policy and practice.

The purpose of this workshop is to build the capacity of SFP members to translate expertise in family planning research into digestible media pieces. Participants will receive seven hours of training over two half-day sessions and technical assistance from a network of experienced journalist mentors. Through this workshop, each participant will develop and pitch one digital media piece related to their area of scholarly expertise.
