In the face of escalating attacks on science and family planning, we remain resolved to advance just and equitable abortion and contraception informed by science and to advance our Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion vision.
We will stay focused. Our strategic plan and Diversity Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) Vision were built to withstand landscape shifts, and position us well to continue to advocate for science, healthcare, abortion, contraception, and DEI. Attempts to create chaos and to intimidate will not distract us from these necessary efforts.
We will not pre comply. Our vision and values are non-negotiable. We will not make ourselves small, shrink our vision, or otherwise make advanced concessions. When it feels uncomfortable or risky, we will ground ourselves in our commitments and resources and assess how best to serve our collective futures.
We will pace ourselves. This is long-term work that builds off the many who came before us and will be continued by those who pick up this mantle in the future. We will reject false urgency and guard against burnout while also continuing to stretch ourselves to grapple with emergent challenges and opportunities.
We will imagine our vision is possible. Amid extraordinary uncertainty, we will continue to actively cultivate the possibility of a better future and lead with the belief that our vision is attainable.
We will build the future together. The challenges we face present an opportunity to reaffirm who we are and why we do this work. We will not be divided against each other but will instead stay committed to collective actions. Together, we will be a bulwark against efforts to dismantle science, undercut healthcare, restrict family planning, and undermine the fundamental principles of diversity, equity, and inclusion.
By continuing to believe in the transformative power of our shared vision, our community, and our partners, we will navigate these challenging times with courage, purpose, and hope.
Together, we will rise to the moment.
