Study summary

In 2019, the Network launched its first study, “Biomarkers of Gestational Age” at ten of the Network sites. Lead by Susan Fisher, PhD of the University of California, San Francisco, this study is evaluating unique protein markers in blood samples from pregnant patients and correlating them with gestational age. The long-term goal of this analysis is to develop a point-of-care blood test for accurate gestational age dating.

Banked Plasma Program: Call for applications

We are excited to announce that plasma samples banked as part of this study will now be made available to bench and translational researchers who seek to address pressing clinical questions in family planning and reproductive health. Sample requests will be reviewed on a rolling basis and approved based on alignment with the Society’s vision and missions.

Samples will be made available to approved applicants at minimal cost. There are no fees for costs of collection or current storage. Investigators will cover the costs of shipment of the samples to their research location.

Please see the call for applications for detailed information about the samples, application process, and review criteria. Application submission opens on November 15th, 2020 for Society members and May 14th 2021 for researchers who are not currently Society Members.
