Scientific abstracts

Deadline: March 17, 2025 at 11:59 pm PT / 2:59 am ET

The Society seeks abstracts that advance the science and medicine of abortion and contraception in the US. Successful abstracts will address timely topics and important gaps in knowledge, demonstrate methodological rigor, and be tailored to the Annual Meeting audience. The Call for abstracts can be found here.

All sessions and abstracts are reviewed and selected through a rigorous process conducted by peer reviewers, the Annual Meeting Committee, and the Board of Directors. The peer reviewers are selected through an open call recruitment period once a year. If you would like to volunteer, please raise your hand here! For questions related to session or abstract submission and review, please contact AnnualMeetingSubmissions@SocietyFP.org

Please note: #SFP2026 is scheduled to be in an in-person event in San Francisco, CA. If your submission is accepted, you should be available to present during those dates.

The Society has a limited amount of funding available to support speakers who do not have institutional support to attend the Annual Meeting and would not be able to attend without financial assistance. Faculty can request conference registration, up to three nights in the conference hotels, travel up to $600, a per diem of $100 per day, and a reimbursement of up to $100 per day for childcare. For questions about the faculty experience at the 2026 Annual Meeting, contact Events@SocietyFP.org.
