About the COE
The Society of Family Planning is the home to the Contraceptive Implant Removal Centers of Experience (COE). COEs are clinicians who specialize in the removal of complex and difficult contraceptive implants, including deep or nonpalpable birth control rods. The Society sets standards and qualifications for clinicians to become a COE and maintains a directory of all the COEs in the US.
Become a COE
We encourage clinicians who meet the standards and qualifications for removing complex and difficult contraceptive implants to become a COE. As a COE, you will be added to the COE directory and gain access to the Society’s COE-only resource hub and community forum. If you have experience in complex and difficult contraceptive implant removal or are interested in learning more, email Clinical@SocietyFP.org.
