To advance the Society’s vision of just and equitable abortion and contraception informed by science, the Society of Family Planning Annual Meeting showcases the rigorous, timely science in family planning on the cutting edge of what is now and what is next.

This year, the Society selected award winners from a highly competitive field of submissions, judging 100 poster presentations and 24 oral abstracts debuting cutting edge research in the field. Each submission underwent a rigorous review process by a panel of four family planning experts who scored entries according to a comprehensive rubric evaluating relevance, significance, methods, audience, and positionality.
