Public Health Social Scientist
Nancy is a public health social scientist with Advancing New Standards in Reproductive Health at UCSF. Her research considers the use and limitations of evidence in informing sexual health programs and policies. Nancy's recent work has examined the use of research evidence in the development of abortion facility standards and the effects of state-level abortion restrictions. Previously, she studied frameworks for sexuality education that move beyond pregnancy/STI prevention and integrate issues of sexuality, gender equality and human rights to promote healthy sexual development. In 2019, she joined the first cohort of the Society of Family Planning's Wiki Scholars program.
